This was part two of the message I shared for a camp my wife and I ran in the summer of 2022. The theme of the camp was RAD because we wanted to inspire young people to be completely radical for Jesus. Here it is.

Tonight we are going to see God do the extraordinary.  

GET READY!

Earlier I shared about 2 beliefs that John the Baptist had that made him radical, what were they?

BELIEF 1- YOU DON’T HAVE TO PROVE ANYTHING.

BELIEF 2- JESUS MUST INCREASE.

Throughout the day I believe God has been working on hearts, preparing you to receive tonight and to digest what I shared in the morning.  

Who’s ready for radical belief number 3?

BELIEF 3- GOD GIVES THE SPIRIT WITHOUT LIMIT.

John 3:34 For the one whom God has sent speaks the words of God, for God gives the Spirit without limit.

In Jesus John could see the Spirit of the Living God being manifested, and it gave him a revelation on how God works.

Tonight you can see & experience what John saw & experienced because…

GOD GIVES THE SPIRIT WITHOUT LIMIT.

Say that with me: GOD GIVES THE SPIRIT WITHOUT LIMIT.

The religious people John is sharing this with are hoping to find weak spots in John’s ministry and holes in Jesus’ ministry.  

I think when John told them GOD GIVES THE SPIRIT WITHOUT LIMIT it provoked great hopelessness in their religious demonic spirits.

They are confronted with ‘we will never be able to stop or control this.  Our reign of control is over’.

Who can stop God?  No one!

Believe this like John believed: GOD GIVES THE SPIRIT WITHOUT LIMIT.

God is with YOU, BORN AGAIN BELIEVER.

There is no lil Holy Spirit.  There is no half, quarter or 8th measure of the Holy Ghost.

Let’s clarify something right now:  the Holy Spirit is a person, not a feeling.  He is FOR REAL!

Too many times people have relegated Holy Spirit to the warm tingly’s we get when they play ‘Reckless Love’.

This is why church leaders must have an actual relationship with Holy Spirit.

The people lack understanding of God because the pastors many times have none themselves.

They miss this truth:  Holy Spirit is God!

John saw something incredible at Jesus baptism.

John 1:32 Then John gave this testimony: “I saw the Spirit come down from heaven as a dove and remain on him.

John saw Jesus and knew the Son of God was now carrying the Spirit of God.  He knew this because God the Father told him so!!

John 1:33-34 I didn’t know he was the one, but when God sent me to baptize with water, he told me, ‘The one on whom you see the Spirit descend and rest is the one who will baptize with the Holy Spirit.’

I saw this happen to Jesus, so I testify that he is the Chosen One of God.”

John is absolutely floored when it comes to the presence of God.

He yielded to the Father.

He bowed before Jesus.

He lost his mind for Holy Spirit. 

What John knew about Jesus baptizing people in the Holy Spirit made him radically joyful.

The Holy Spirit being poured out on all flesh would be the greatest shift towards heaven in human history.

Now, you might be wondering to yourself about this.

You have believed in Jesus, you love God, but you don’t know Holy Spirit through experience.

I want to encourage you in the Lord tonight.

God wants you to experience Him in the fullness of who He is.  HE GIVES THE SPIRIT WITHOUT LIMIT!

There are 2 things I want to share right here.

1. You can have a greater revelation of God in you.

2. You can have a greater measure of God being on you.

Revelation of God IN you

You fully agreeing with the covenant you made with God in Christ.

I gave You my heart, you gave me Your Spirit. 

Holy Spirit is God, and He is given to us when we come to Jesus.

2 Corinthians 1:22 He has put his Spirit in our hearts as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come.

The Bible tells us in Romans 8 that the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead lives in you! 

We constantly forget that God is with us, but we pull on Scriptures to remind us of the truth.  Here’s one:

Hebrews 13:5 Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.

Tonight we’re going to ask God for that kind of revelation.  You are going to walk out convinced that GOD IS WITH YOU, because GOD GIVES THE SPIRIT WITHOUT LIMIT!

Measure of God ON you 

Did you know Jesus didn’t do one sign or wonder until after His baptism, when Holy Spirit came and rested on Him?

The Son of God, fully God did not minister until after Holy Spirit came on Him.

Holy Spirit is in every believer, but He does not rest on every believer.

Jesus told his disciples to rejoice about His leaving the earth, because He was going to send them the Holy Spirit.

The same Spirit that was resting on Jesus!

When Holy Spirit came and fell on the believers, there was a bunch of radical maniacs that destroyed the systems of the devil.  

Like a bunch of Jesus’s running around, because God had poured out His Spirit, and GOD GIVES THE SPIRIT WITHOUT LIMIT!

Holy Spirit didn’t come on every person ever.  

He doesn’t come on every Christian today.

He comes on those who will stop everything and ask God to pour His Spirit out on themselves!

God is not withholding, anyone that wants more of God can have it.

When the Holy Spirit is on you you become limitless, because GOD GIVES THE SPIRIT WITHOUT LIMIT!

Remember- God is Holy.

Holy means: perfect, pure.

We can never be perfect, but we can hunger for God to purify us.

If you aren’t willing to repent from sinful ways and surrender to God you aren’t going to receive.

Desiring holiness attracts Holy Spirit, refusing Jesus call to purity resists Holy Spirit.

This is why every great move of God is accompanied by repentance, the turning of hearts towards the Lord.

When we decide to turn to God He pours out, and GOD GIVES THE SPIRIT WITHOUT LIMIT!

The last belief John held is key to wrapping up our lives in God.

BELIEF 4- JESUS IS THE ONLY OPTION

John 3:36 Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God’s wrath remains on them.

There is no life apart from God, only hell & wrath.

John said the truth plainly- if you reject Jesus the wrath of God is on you.

When we toy with the cares of this world we play in the sandbox of hell.

Jesus is our only option guys.  There is no life, there is no hope apart from Him.

John went to prison for this belief.

Remember why John went to prison?

HEY ‘king’ HEROD- FIRST OFF, YOU’RE NOT KING, JESUS IS!  

SECOND, YOU ARE IN SIN AND NEED TO REPENT BECAUSE KING JESUS REQUIRES HOLINESS!

He also went to his death because of this belief.

Before Herod chopped John’s head off John had to double check on Jesus.  

JESUS, YOU REALLY ARE THE SON OF GOD, RIGHT?

If you are going through hell and you feel abandoned, ask the same question John did.

Jesus, you really are who you say you are, right?

He will answer you in the same way He did John.

I have seen the faithfulness of God through my entire life.  I have felt abandoned and called on the name of Jesus thousands of times.

EVERY TIME HE HAS COME THROUGH.

Nothing else has ever worked, nothing in the world can even compare.  

JESUS IS THE ONLY OPTION.

Tonight we are going to minister and people are going to experience God in ways they haven’t before.

Some are going deeper than they ever have, some are jumping in the deep end from the high dive.

That night we saw God move on Generation Z in an incredible way. My leaders had glorious reports of students repenting of sin, giving their lives fully to the Lord, being baptized in the Holy Spirit and seeing many receive healing in their bodies and minds. I prayed at the end of the service, commissioning a crowd of new radicals. Only God knows the future of each individual in the crowd, but I believe from these meetings missionaries will be sent to the nations and cultural shifters were being sent forth. I love camp when Jesus is the focus! Thanks for reading, now go get radical!
